چکیده
Background: Nephrotic syndrome is a medical problem clinically characterized by proteinuria, generalized body edema and hypercholesterolemia. We did this study to compare the effectiveness of single dose versus split prednisolone in achieving remission patients with nephrotic children.Patients methods: This open-ended randomized control trial was done pediatric unit tertiary care hospital from January December 2019.We included one hundred Patients who met inclusion criteria. divided total into 2 groups (group A & B) 50 each group. Group given prednisolone, while group B therapy. Both were compared respect achievement remission. Results: Out 37 (74%) male, 22 (44%) male (p-value=0.137). Mean age 4.5 ±1.67 years 4.9 ±1.49 respectively (p-value=0.1876). serum creatinine level 0.744±0.189 0.736±0.167 (p-value=0.823). Similarly mean albumin 2.34±0.358 2.39±0.33 (p-value=0.473). When both regard response treatment, duration 16.48 ±3.69. In 19.42 ±3.11 days (p-value<0.05).Conclusion: From our we concluded that more effective steroid sensitive as prednisolone.

RELAPSE RATE IN DAILY SINGLE-DOSE PREDNISOLONE THERAPY FOR CHILDREN WITH PRIMARY NEPHROTIC SYNDROME
Most current references recommend divided doses of prednisolone for the initial treatment of idiopathic minimal change nephrotic syndrome in children, with relapse occuring in the majority of them, but there is little experience concerning single-dose prednisolone therapy, especially considering the relapse rate. In this prospective study on 36 consecutive children with primary nephrotic s...

متن کاملLOW DOSE PREDNISOLONE WITH INCREASE IN DOSAGE INTERVAL IN FREQUENT RELAPSING NEPHROTIC SYNDROME
In order to avoid using cytotoxic drugs and to minimize prednisolone side effects in frequent relapsing or steroid-dependent idiopathic nephrotic syndrome, 35 patients, 3 to 15 (mean= 8.1) years of age, were studied. While in remission for at least 6 weeks, the dose of prednisolone was reduced to 0.1-0.37 (mean= 0.23) mg/kg/day as a single dose for 12 to 72 (mean= 27.6) months. It was follo...
متن کاملThe Efficacy of Single Dose Rasburicase in Prevention or Treatment of Tumor Lysis Syndrome in Children
Background: Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) is a major metabolic complication in patients with malignancy after initiation of chemotherapy or spontaneously without treatment. The role of Rasburicase (a recombinant urate-oxidase enzyme) in prevention and treatment of TLS has been demonstrated in recent years. We aimed to investigate the efficacy of a single dose of rasburicase in reducing the risk of...
